Health Director - Desira John

  • Provides leadership in community health programs such as Injury Surveillance, Maternal Child Health, Home and Community Care

  • Provides leadership in all administrative duties such as program development and delivery, budgeting, evaluation, and reporting

Personal Care Aide (PT) Nichelle King

  • Provides personal care in the home, home care assessment, duties include: assisting client to access health services, managing medications, addressing social and emotional needs, personal care including foot care, bathing

  • Provides program administration including authorizing expenditures and monitoring expenditures

  • Liaison with Band Administration, Band Departments, partners and visiting professionals

Financial Aid Worker (PT) – 2 days/week - Brenda Tilly

  • Intake for Income Assistance

Youth & Family Worker - Dustin Tomma

  • Plans and organizes social, recreational, educational and Secwepemc Traditional Wellness activities for youth and parents

  • Facilitates fundraising for youth activities

Data Clerk - (PT) Nichelle King

  • Assists with electronic medical records – data input

Homemaker - (PT) Helen John

  • Provides housekeeping for clients such as vacuuming and laundry

  • Assists with shopping, cooking and other household activities

CHR - (PT, 3 days/week) - Kristina John

  • Provides support services to parents of young children including home visits, assistance accessing services, parenting support, child development assessment

  • Assists CHN manage resources and supplies

  • Provides health education programs and services in consultation with Wellness staff

  • Supports and advocates for community members to access health programs and services

Social Development Director and Social Worker - Terra Harrison

  • Manages Social Development program including program delivery and reporting

  • Administers Band Member Assistance program

  • Refers employable applicants to Employment Counselling

  • Consults with and participates in child protection issues

  • Liaises with the Ministry of Children and Family Development, courts, and probation

Addictions Support Worker - Rachel Kilback

  • Provides one to one counselling for addictions

  • Provides community education and awareness – newsletter, informational & educational workshops

  • Provides referral to addictions treatment services

  • Provides post-treatment follow up services

  • Offers community programming and support activities

  • Assists with electronic medical records – data input

Public Health Nurse and Home Care Nurse - Tina Brown

  • Provides immunization for children and adults (eg. flu vaccine) and communicable disease control (eg. TB, Hepatitis)

  • Screens for hearing, vision, dental and health status

  • Monitors community members with chronic disease (eg. diabetes, respiratory conditions)

  • Delivers prenatal and post natal programs

  • Screens, assesses and admits clients to Home Care program and develop care plans for clients, provide clinical supervision of Personal Care Aides and deliver Nursing services (eg. wound care)

  • Liaison with Chase Health Centre, local Doctors and other health services

Psychologist - Jane Wakefield

Nurse Practitioner
  • 3 days/month, check with front desk

  • Primary health care outreach service from IHA

  • One to one appointments for assessment, diagnosis and treatment of health conditions

  • Referral to other health services

  • Liaison with health services and follow up as needed

Family Services Coordinator

Children’s Oral Health  Program (COHI)

  • Crystal Chartrand in partnership with Qwemtsin Health Society, check with reception for schedule

  • Provides dental health education and awareness with a focus on birth to 7 year olds and their parents and caregivers

  • Assesses oral health, referral and follow up for children birth to 7 years

  • Provides a fluoride varnish program

  • Consults with wellness staff and community members on dental health

Child and Youth Mental Health Clinician

  • Provides one to one counselling to children and youth from 5 – 18 years

  • Provides mental health assessment, referral and advocacy for children and youth and their families

  • Provides information and support to children, youth and families on mental health issues
